The house was designed for a young family in a small village in Larnaca, Cyprus. We took into consideration the natural environment in the area and the clients desire for an enclosed outdoor space. The kitchen,
living and dining rooms are located on the ground floor that has an “L” shape to gain solar heat and light from south orientation. The first floor, which comprises of the master bedroom and two single bedrooms, has a “U” shape mirroring the ground floor design and creating a patio and cover for the outdoor space on the ground floor. The principal idea was to create a micro-climate outdoor space for the cold days of winter and the hot days of summer. The roof is also accessible with a beautifully designed roof garden.
